IEEE CLOUD 2024 Symposium on “Cloud and AI”
The focus of the “Cloud and AI” Symposium will be on how the Cloud and AI technologies impact each other, and the opportunities and challenges they impose. AI has demonstrated immense potential to revolutionize Cloud computing, enhancing its performance, scalability, interoperability, robustness, security, and usability. Meanwhile, Cloud computing is a key enabler for advancing AI research and practice with the vast computing power, resources, and tools it provides. However, concerns surrounding the environmental impact of both AI and Cloud computing have escalated, particularly due to the substantial power and energy required for training and inferring generative AI models in the cloud. Furthermore, the significant advancement of software engineering, particularly in the realm of Large Language Model (LLM)/Foundation Model (FM) based code generation, promises to fundamentally reshape the software industry and software development practices. The “Cloud and AI” Symposium will bring experts from academia and industry to discuss the implications of these two highly impactful technologies coming together.
Topics of Interest:
- Sustainable AI in the Cloud
- AI for Cloud Operations Transformation
- Cloud for AI Training and Inferencing
- Cloud and LLM/FM Based Code Generation
